While the other winning entries relied more on aesthetics, RD Group’s entry struck a perfect balance between concept and beauty in the float’s design expounding on this year’s Tuna Festival theme, “A Decade of FISHtivities and OpporTUNAties”. This focus in the design eventually resulted to a float that fits as a tribute to the different institutions and groups of people who all worked and contributed to the progress and prosperity that Gensan is currently enjoying – from the business and labor sector, to the city government and national government agencies, the educational institutions, and the general populace.
The team who worked on RD Group’s float from design phase to its finished winning form consisted of the steering and design group headed by Engr. Bonifacio Astorga from RDFI-GSD, Dennis Chan and Alexie De Los Santos from RDFI-HR with Engr. Ivy Digal and Raymond Aujero from RD PilCon. The other members of the team who pitched in significantly are Amelyn Astorga, Franco Meting, Jezrel Oral (Joblink), Jonathan Carbonilla (OJT) all from RDFI-HR, Dary Credo from RDFI-MIS and Ms. Sheila Andallasa (Joblink), also of RDFI-HR who served as the float’s muse.
So, how big is the fish? Actually, it’s just a title with a small trophy and a small piece of board paper with P150,000.00 scribbled on it. Yes, it’s that big – great for our Corporate Social Responsibility projects!
Success is sweet! Let’s all savor it! Being an RD employee, realize that we are part of a Winning Team!
